Your time zone and message times

See times in your own time zone
On Java, hover over a chat message to see when it was sent. Hover over a join, leave or travel message to see when it happened. Times use your own time zone once you choose one. Until then they show server time (UTC), with a tip to use /timezone. Click a join or leave message to open /timezone.

Choose your time zone
• /timezone opens the time zone menu.
• /timezone set lists places with their current time, so you can pick the one that matches your clock. You can also type /timezone set <city>; suggestions appear as you type. Short names such as EST, CST, PST, BST and UTC work too.
• /timezone clock 12 or /timezone clock 24 picks your clock style.
• /timezone reset goes back to server time (UTC).
After you choose, you see a message such as "It's 10:42 AM on Tue Sep 23 for you."

Mail
/mail shows how long ago each message arrived, for example "6 hours, 34 minutes, and 20 seconds ago".

Your time zone changes only how times are shown to you. Daily resets, such as chat game wins and Survival daily limits, still happen at 00:00 UTC.
