What trains the seven skills

• Mining: mine qualifying natural stone and ores. Replacing blocks does not make fresh Mining XP.
• Woodcutting: chop supported natural or grown trees.
• Farming: harvest supported mature crops. Planting alone does not earn XP.
• Fishing: complete real catches with a fishing rod.
• Hunting: fight eligible creatures; excluded spawner or summoned mobs do not become valid just because they are killed.
• Smithing: use supported furnace outputs and smithing-table results. Ordinary crafting and anvil repairs do not award Smithing XP.
• Exploration: travel through qualifying new areas using the allowed travel modes.

Open /skills and read the skill's current training cards for its exact rules. Canceled actions, collecting transferred items and opening crates do not repeat gathering XP.

There is no active Cooking skill. You can still cook food through normal Minecraft recipes.
