Talk with friends
Open /gc to create a group or review invitations. A player joins only after accepting. Select a group to send normal chat there; /gc off returns typing to Global.
Send one message without switching: /gc:builders Hello! for a group called builders, or /g Hello! for Global. Group messages stay out of the public Discord chat feed. Ignores and blocks still apply.
Choose what you see
Show or hide Global and individual groups separately. Selecting a group shows it again. If your selected group becomes unavailable, typing pauses until you choose a destination.
Open /chat view to choose server labels, ranks, titles and nicknames in your own view. Preview your choices, then Confirm or Cancel. On Java, hover message text for its UTC date and time.
Personal controls
Use /motd off or /motd on for realm welcomes. /afk privacy friends or /afk privacy nobody controls away-status visibility; /afk announce off stops its public announcements.
