Prison: jobs, contests and Rush Hour

Player guide

Daily jobs
Open Jobs in the Prison Menu, or type /jobs. At midnight Pacific time you get 3 new jobs, such as mining or selling blocks. Each takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Unfinished jobs are replaced.
• Each job pays 6 minutes of mining in Gems and 300 Upgrade Points.
• All 3 in a day also give 1 Rank Crate key for your rank.
• Swap a job for a different one (its progress is lost). One swap a day is free; each later swap costs 2 minutes of mining, doubling each time.
• Fishing, farming and geode jobs appear after you try them.
Finish 12 daily jobs from Monday to Sunday to complete the weekly job: 30 minutes of mining in Gems, a crate key and an upgrade book. Minutes of mining

Weekly Mining Contest
Mine by hand to reach prize steps. Open Mining Contest in the Prison Menu, or type /contest. From Monday to Sunday (Pacific time), blocks you mine yourself count. Mining Buddy and Big Break blocks do not. Each step you reach pays its prize, on top of the steps before it:
• Bronze, 25,000 blocks: 10 minutes of mining and 1,000 Upgrade Points.
• Silver, 75,000 blocks: a crate key and a Mining Booster (+10% for 10 minutes).
• Gold, 150,000 blocks: an upgrade book and 20 minutes of mining.
The top 3 places (Bronze players only; ties share a place) get one more crate key. Prizes arrive soon after the week ends, or 5 seconds after you next join. The page shows your place and last week's winners.

Rush Hour
Rush Hour starts by itself 90 to 150 minutes after the last one ended, while players are mining. For 5 minutes, everything you sell pays double. If your 2x Selling is also running, it pays 3x. A message tells everyone when it starts.
