Starting out
Start with counted monsters you can handle.
Bring food and usable equipment.
Spawner and spawn-egg mobs do not train Hunting.

Building your skill
Compare the Monster Damage bonus with extra XP.
Use the Your Progress card to check counted kills.
Read the damage bonus to see how much damage
you take from creatures while it is on.

Long-term goals
Plan equipment and supplies before harder encounters.
Boss story credit has its own eligibility rules.
Check the tool card for its current level, price and items.
