Progression now: the published skill baseline
Accepted Survival settings — checked 7 September 2026
Survival — Verdant Reach now uses the published first-cycle skill curve: 100,000 cumulative XP to level 99, with eight skills and a 1.0 base rate.
For target level L from 1 to 99:
required_total_XP = 100000 × ((L - 1) / 98)^2
The next-level cost is the difference between adjacent thresholds. Level 50 is 25,000 cumulative XP; level 99 is 100,000.
Eligible actions earn configured XP. Different blocks, creatures and crafting actions have different values. The published baseline uses fixed action rewards, preserving the benefit of suitable equipment and fortunate finds. Shared elapsed-time and hunting-density reductions do not reduce these baseline rewards. Personal bonuses still matter; check your live skill pages.
Three hours per skill is a reference scenario, not a timer or completion guarantee. Routes, materials, equipment and play style change actual progress. Normal-player route calibration remains ongoing.
The baseline publication preserved existing levels and possessions. Prestige resets and equipment restrictions remain disabled. Future prestige articles describe proposals. XP, relic actions, daily tasks and story objectives remain separate counters.
