Prestige points and early-XP ranks
Selected design / playtest proposal — not live
Each completed prestige gives one point. One point buys one rank:
• Early XP: four ranks, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% total. Each replaces the previous total; they do not add to 100%.
• Vault: three ranks for 9 / 18 / 27 total slots.
• Layouts: two free, then three ranks for 4 / 6 / 8 total layouts.
Ten points complete all ten launch ranks. Points can be saved; after all upgrades are complete, later points remain banked with no current purchase promised.
Early XP follows each skill's current level:
E(L) = purchased_total × clamp((50 − L) / 25, 0, 1)
Full benefit through level 25, taper through 26–49, none from 50. It returns immediately when that skill resets to 1.
The +40% rank saves about 65.34 reference minutes across an all-eight cycle at 100% progression time with no other personal perks. Its benefit is concentrated in rebuilding; it does not speed the entire cycle by 40%.
Prestige also automatically grants a visible rank and scheduled content ownership, independent of which upgrade you buy.
